I’m getting ready to do the rear suspension on my Demon, & have spring questions. It will have a small block. First is spring rate. The Hotchkis springs say they have 130lb rate, but that seems light to me. Afco 20231 has 142lb rate, & says for 2300 - 2800 lb vehicles. Other variations of the 20231 have higher rates. I’m leaning towards the 20231MDH with a 152lb rate for 2600-3000 lb vehicles. Second is height. Trying to find something close to stock height +/- an inch or so. The Afco springs list the arch (6 5/8), but not whether they are stock height or +/-. I’m looking for good cornering, not drag racing. Thank you for suggestions/info

what t-bars are you running?
what shocks?

personally, i wouldn't run much more than 130lb rate springs on a street car with *really* good shocks.

Running the Bergman 1.08 bars & Hotchkis fox shocks.
i've had good luck with rates in the 120~130ish range while running .990~1.08 bars

found it kind of rode the fine line of a balanced set up without sacrificing too much ride quality.

currently running the hotchkis sprAngs on my dart (though it'll get much larger bars) and have another running 1.03's with the hotch rears. it sits low, so that might not be an option due to what you're looking for though.

On the Hotchkis springs; is it the front bracket that makes them lower, or the springs themselves? I have 3/4” relocation brackets, so if I do run the Hotchkis springs, I won’t be using their front mounts.

i'd call pete and order the eaton springs he sells.. they seem to match the 1.08 bars pretty well.. i have the 1.08 bars with their stock height ones on our dart.. i think they are 130ish pound springs. pete would know. i also run bilstein shocks which made a huge difference in ride quality over the kyb's the car had. your shocks should be good to go i'd think.

i believe it's both the bracket and the eye. i know for sure the eye is different, how much different the bracket (hanger) is, or plays into it i'm not sure.
