another wiper motor / switch question

Hi guys

I'm running out of ideas here. I have a 68 Barracuda, with what seems to be the Variable speed wiper switch with push-in washer function (when I use the switch, i can push on it, I can rotate it with an "off" position, a first "on" position, and then I can keep rotating it as I wish until what seems to be a "max speed" position.

I have completely redone my wiring as it was total garbage, and this is the only thing I can't get to work.

The old wiper motor is in the picture below :

Here is my wiper switch, with how it's wired in (I used both my owner's manual and Passion4Mopars website info to wire this in, as well as matching the old wires that were already there from the original harness)

One of the connectors is unused on the wiper switch, which according to Passion 4 Mopars, is normal.

Where I run into a problem is on the wiper motor itself, which I replaced with a Cardone remanufactured item (i've heard good and bad stuff about these but, well, that's about the only thing available out there under 500$...).
The wiper motor is part number 40-350, which according to the manufacturer and Summit, fits my car.

However, nowhere online can I find any schematics of how to wire it in ... Even Passion 4 Mopars has some info, but that's not very clear to me with "A", "P", "F1", "F2" etc...

I tried a few different wire position but nothing seems to work. It's not rotation, not going into park, not getting crazy fast... well it's doing nothing basically ...

So here is the question(s) : is this the correct wiper motor for my switch?
How should it be wired??

Thanks a lot, hopefully somebody here has done this before and will be able to help because I've been scratching my head for a few days...
 
You have a 2 speed motor and a variable switch they are not compatible. I can restore your motor for less than 500
 
The old motor went to the trash as it was all burnt to crisp inside...

Is the new motor in the last photos a 2 speed then? This is the only one I could find that was listed as a replacement for my car.
 
Yes last two pictures are of a 2 speed. But your missing the resistor that mounts above the motor. And you need a two speed switch.
 
Here is a picture of my 68 with a 2 speed. you can see the resistor at the top of the wiper motor.

I would prefer switching the motor to a 3 speed / variable setup as my crank arm is for that apparently. I'll snap a photo tomorrow to check.\

Does the 2 speed switch integrates the push function for the washer system or is it a separate button on the dash then?
Would it be possible that the resistor in the Cardone motor is integrated into it and doesn't need to be added on top?
 
I doubt the resistor is internal, does it have two speeds? Most had a floor mechanical pump on the left side of the brake pedal above the dimmer switch. for the sprayers.
 
The picture of the back side of your switch looks like a 3 speed. Variable is yet a third type of motor and switch.
 
The knob on the switch doesn’t have 3 positions, it has 2 and then you can rotate it more or less.

I can’t tell if the motor has 2 speeds without removing it from the car as it just doesn’t start up.

Regarding the pump near the dimmer switch, there was nothing on my car. But i can push on the wiper switch and the brown wire coming from it was going to the washer pump on the original harness.
 
The switch is a variable the 25 is the internal resistance
Variable vs 3sp is in the switch the motors are the same
 
The motor on the firewall of your car is an aftermarket version of the mopar built 2sp. A 3sp/variable switch on a 2 sp motor will only give you one speed if you're lucky and it will park where ever it stops when the switch is turned off
 
Ok so I need to find a variable speed motor then :(

That's gonna be costly... Anybody looking for a 2 speed motor?? I've got a really good deal for you lol
