If so could you tell me type on motor setup you have, and what part of characteristics you experienced with it

It would have been easier to list specs or do this---> Voodoo Retro-Fit Hydraulic Roller Cam - Chrysler 273-360 270/279 - Lunati Power

I just had a 4 week discussion with Lunati on a few things about that line of cams.
1: There not a retro fit cam because the fuel pump ecentric can not be used in any way shape or form, no way no how.

2; It took 4 weeks to get my money back on the cam because they said it was a retro fit cam.

3; Even though I produced pictures of there cam next to the proper length snout cam, they then claimed I got the wrong cam. Even though THAT is THE cam on there own web site.

A total of 8 weeks and dozens it of emails with pictures finally produced something.

IF you decide on that cam, Hughesengines has a trick part that will solve the problem.

Thanks for the heads up.

That’s interesting, I noticed that they have a cam for the early roller motor and they point out the long shaft for the eccentric. Voodoo - Hydraulic Roller (1985-92 W/ Long Snout, Mechanical Fuel Pump & Shaft Rockers) - Lunati Power

I'm running the 713 in my 408 with a mechanical fuel pump.

The reason I ask is because Lunati claims 711 is a good streetable choice, but the specs would equate it to be pretty wild in the flat tappet world. So I'm just curious on how it behaves in the real world .

Its in a pro touring duster with 3.23 gears. Took it to the track for a car show and made a "parade lap" , went 11.51 at 120 on Kuhmo street tires with a weak 1.83 - 60 . I left horsepower on the table by not going solid roller, super victor and 1-7/8" TTI's. So for a more streetable combo I used a ported airgap , small tube TTI's and of course the hydraulic roller. Has a QF 950 on top of RJ stage 2 ported heads with 10-1/2 comp. The combo worked perfect with the eddie heads stock valve springs. . The torque allowed me to use a dynamic 9-1/2 3500 stall even with the 3.23 gears. Its very reliable but I just use it for car shows and some spirited back roads driving.

Nope the stock Edelbrock springs are single with a damper , around 350 open I believe. Very close to what Lunati recommends. The motor would pull to 6500 but that's the max for the roller lifters so I set the limiter at 6200 and shift at 5800-6000

I asked because I bought a set of double springs from a guy who said he took off a set of new Eddy's he got. I read somewhere the these springs were for a roller cam application I believe the Eddy # is 5845

Could be , my eddies are over 5 years old but also someone else told me they are now making smallblock heads with roller cam springs already installed , might be worth looking into. Mine have been fine so far.
