Any good ears?

Last year while running my car cold i hit the throttle and it cut out just to come on at a 2 mph roll and flash the converter to 3500rpm. Imediately I developed this noise...can you hear it?

The noise is the first video is most evident when the camera points down and at the passenger seat/window

sounds like you are just getting on and off the gas ?

it's the exhaust pipe hitting on something.

It,s really hard to tell,but I would check all t.convertor bolt.

The noise is very hard to detect...its only upon throttle application, it sounds similar to heat shield vibrating on a cat converter except i dont have one LOL! It doesnt occur at steady cruise speeds and it does it sitting still in park or nuetral.

sounds like a convertor going bad.

It could be the converter bolts just on the edge of nicking.

With it being more right side predominent, im wondering about mechanical fuel pump.

I had an intermittent rattle. It was the arm on the fuel pump.

I tightened the converter bolts....could the flexplate be cracked up at the crank and make a noise like this??? I dont have a mechanical fule pump on the car.

I had a flexplate crack on me,but it was on a GM(87 Cutlass with 350 s.b)the crack was bolt hole to bolt hole.Hope it,s not your convertor.Good luck.

which begs the 'q', are the crank to plate bolts loose?
Course you can't see that, but 'run the build tape in your head'
(as it were)

As it sounds (now),noise is 'decel' only. so my next SWAG's (scientific wild *** guesses)would be ...

1) loose 'tin' (as the folks already mentioned)
2) loose right side motor mount /fasteners.
3) Trans mount / fasteners
= (again SWAGing) fan/ shroud contact on decel.

I'm sorry the noise is on acceleration and it has electric fans
