If you’re not the original owner.
The previous owner may have planned to run a gas line for a grill if the patio was there originally and never did.That is if you have natural gas piped to your house.

So, turns out it goes nowhere. It's only about 4" long and goes straight into more concrete. All I can think is that who ever plumbed the washer drain dropped a short piece of pipe in the form and the concrete guy poured right over the top of it.

Makes sense. Just a leftover remnant in the foundation pour. It happens.
