I'm looking to expand my Rockabilly repertoire. Ever since I caught a free afternoon concert a few years ago by Lee Rocker (Stray Cats bassist), I've been hooked.
FABO rockabilly fans, who do you like?

I'm a big Horton Heat fan. Leans toward PsycoBilly

An old friend's band- Skinny McGee and the Mayhem Makers.

Don't forget Queen Crazy Little Thing Called Love, that's rockabilly as hell.

SCOTS (Southern Culture on the Skids) has some RB style stuff. Kinda more CCR meets the B52's, though.

The Road Kings (Jesse Dayton older band)
Legendary Shack Shakers
Ray Condo - has some moments not for everybody

And check out the Johnny Burnette Rock n Roll Trio - he is the source for many bands

I loved (still enjoy) that Rockabilly as a youngster back in the early/mid 80's. But enjoyed the likes of Gene Vincent long before that, so it was a natural transition when Stray Cats hit the scene. Just plain fun music!

I do have some Southern Culture on the Skids, Rev Horton Heat, and just got my first Gene Vincent album (yep, vinyl!). Lots of Stray Cats and Brian Setzer, too. Thanks for the replies.

If you don't mind venturing more into the psychobilly. You could check out:

Horrorpops - More of a "clean" sound, kind of more top 40 style psycho/rockabilly, but with excellent lyrics and good sound.
The Creepshow - Excellent canadian band. I personally prefer their first two albums to their later stuff. But great sound.
The Matadors - Another canadian band. They are an..... acquired taste.

Another somewhat local band- Rockett 88

Are you looking for modern stuff or vintage?

There's a strong crowd in the Tampa area and even an annual festival at Skipper's Smokehouse restaurant.

Local "community" radio 88.5 has a show a couple days a week IIRC.
