Does anyone know this car/owner? I got these pics from Mr Norms Club Website and was taken at Carlisle. THe caption said it's Paul Ernst from Buffalo, New York.

That is a genius idea :thumbrig:

I tried a similar thing with my car back when I was in high school. :idea1: I put double snorkels on my 2 bbl air cleaner & connected them with hoses to the cowl where the two removeable plastic plugs are (Early A). I ended up with a lot of gasoline fumes in the car. Maybe a carb rebuild would have helped things. disgust

ooh, you're right. I was so caught up in the awesomeness that I didn't even think of that

Perhaps he blocked off the cowl air vents under the dash? With the vents intact, fumes would definitely be a problem (as you already pointed out).

He might be okay if he never uses his heater or fresh air vents but mine was a daily driver. Don't remember how long I put up with it but I know I disconnected it. I did put up wit a lot of other stuff around that time though. Gears, solid lifters, no choke, open scoop, lousy heater, super stiff clutch pedal, poor gas mileage, fenderwell headers..... Fun times! :thumblef:
