Anyone modified a 68-69 dart tail light pocket to fit a 67?

Since they don't make the tail light frame for a '67 Dart, I thought about modifying a new '68-'69 one to make the tail light fit. I'm installing a new quarter but the old pocket is destroyed so badly it can't be fixed. The general shape is the same other than how the tail light fits in. I'm going to do it but I thought somebody here might have done it before and might have some insight???

Seen it done the other way to fit the 68-69 tailight into a 67.

Anything is possible with a welder
