Is anyone running a procharger or equivilent on a 440? I emailed one of the suppliers and they are damn expensive. $8500 for the charger and all to tie it together plus a custom carb, Stage 2 water injection, fuel pump, race relief valve and a boost referenced fuel pressure regulator. Anyone running a homebrewed set up? I would like any info you guys can give such as cam choices, carb choices and mods. Can the carb be modded by myself? Or is there a bunch of machine work? anything is good

Thanks

I cant understand why anyone would want a centrifical supercharger as oppose dto a turbo. You need basically the same stuff, but the turbo will not absorb 100+hp to drive itself. Also, the water injection is a crutch, with proper design, you can use an air to air intercooler, or a water to air aftercooler to get similar results w/out needing more fliuds, tubes, and junk to control it. I'll also add, a carburetor is simply archaic for any boosted system. Studebakers used them, as did WW2 aircraft. Get a stand alone management system and inject it. I would use two stock 3.8L buick turbos(cheap and easy to find), and run the Megasquirt system and make some real power with better drivability and safety.
