Anyone run Pro-parts headers?

On your big block Duster, if you do, how do you find the slip on collectors? I recently bought a car with these and there is wicked leakage at the slip-on area. I can see evidence of clips that have been cut off. I am assuming they were for springs, though I don't even see that being real effective. They're go on and off very easily but the leaks are smelling up the car badly.

Also the #4 header tube just scorches the plug boot. I have to get some boot protectors for this. Anyone have the same issue?
 
You can try calling Bob Manzolli racing or TTI who know makes the headers however they were redesigned and new parts may not work.
