The sky lit up for about 2 seconds here in central Michigan.

Hearing that people in Ontario saw it too.

They are saying a meteor.

Just curious who all saw it.

My dad is driving to cobo hall to deliver a load of furniture and just texted me about this. Lol.

He was in Howell and said the whole sky lit up. Lol

Usually in this part of the world when the sky lights up like that it's leaving on a polar orbit with a multi-million dollar payload. 3 years on So. VAFB on the Space Shuttle Complex and the Challenger blew up. Never got to see a shuttle launch outa there. Sure was a fun job though.

It didn`t light up the sky, but one time my uncle and I were going home after an all day job on horseback getting the cattle up to spray them. I was turned around in the saddle talking to him, the horses were as wore out as we were. Watching a "looked like" falling 55 gal. barrel burning, for a long time, maybe over a minute, no telling how far out there, I finally said , look at that, he turned around , just as it went out, and didn`t see it. ??? never forget it !

There is definitely something important in Taylor Michigan (or was) because three presidents did indeed visit that town, and it is not a significant town by it's own virtue, being ranked 543rd.

For the record, there was a real meteor in Michigan last night, but this is an event that is separate from that meteor.

I didn't see it or hear it. It was a 2.0 on a seismic scale at the U of M.
