Anyone tried this cam?

I just ordered a comp cams solid .520 in .540 ex with 244 + 252 at .050. xs282. Just curious what it was run in and how well it performed.

Is it for your 383?
If it is, watch the valve to piston clearance, unles the pistons have valve releifs.
I know I have indicator marks on my 383 pistons from the MP 509 cam

Here's one that I picked up.
This is what he told me
"Crane BB hydraulic camshaft part #684571 with Crane Lifters - used and lifters matched. .528/.552 312/322 242/[email protected]. Worked great, went 119 mph with iron heads"
And it went mid 11's with a 440.
The cam looks close to the one you have.

Yea, I've got a 5cc valve trough and .220 clearance with a .484 cam. If it don't fit I'll be making eyebrow grooves in the pistons. IT'S GOIN IN!!! Either force or persuasion.

AHHH!! The old If it don't fit, force it. If it breaks, it needed to be replaced anyway.

Absolutely! If it don't work, throw money at the problem. This may be my excuse for the 12.5:1 forged popups with the huge valve reliefs. Got a friend at work on my tail that just bought a cheater prostock cam. Gotta beat him.
