anyway to fix headliner?

I have a tear about 5" long in the headliner of my 64 dart would like to stop it and close it up not ready to replace it. looks as though the front and back windows need to come out? anybody have a better suggestion than duct tape?

Also, though I can't comment on early A's, if the headliner is hooked to gripper teeth under the front and rear window gaskets (no trim), then no, you don't have to remove the glass. Just pull the edge of the rubber down and look inside. You'll see what I mean.
