Are 833 OD aluminum trannies good?

Is this trans a good performace part, im asking because im not sure how good the aluminum ones were...

Absolutely. They may have reliability issues under extreme horsepower applications. Wish I had one. My fuel mileage is somewhat depressing, especially considering the recent price hikes.
 
I have one in my 68 Barracuda. It spent about 28k miles behind a built up \6 and for the past 2 years and 15k miles it's been behind a stout (~370HP) 360.

I don't beat on the car but I certainly don't baby it either and it's been trouble free.
