I was looking at 318 heads for over 440 bucks on fleabay. Becaust they had original paint. Last set I bought was under 50 bucks. Yikes, a set of new, gone over eddy's is in the ballpark.
 
They may be asking that price doesn't mean they're getting it..iron heads are a thing of the past..aluminum are king now!!

Can somebody explain to me how valves sticking out of the hole like that is a selling point?

And dragging the valves out of and back thru your new valve seals is a new "break-in" procedure apparently.
