i just took valve covers off the number showed 4006452 on my 440 1975 motorhome
are these alright heads

These are the heads I will be using on my 383 rebuild... I chose them because the flow is good stock, maybe not quite as good as 905's but the exhaust seats are hardened for unleaded.
The 383 originally had 2951250 and I cant even give em away! LOL
Use these heads or the 905's, but from what I read if this is a dailey driver have a shop install hardened seats... if an occasional driver dont bother and use unleded anyway...

906 are the casting #s you are referring to ..:read2:
from what i understand the 452 castings are exactly the same as the 906s except for the hardened seats..
kind of surprising to see them on a motorhome though...

Hmmm acording to what I have here the 452 was on 400 and 440's from 1976 to 78. I have a feeling that this may have been a transplant into the motorhome... Rob67 could that be????

452 are later models of 906 with harden seats which are better u dont neet leaded fuel or race gas !!!!!! just run pump gas

im not sure if they were transplants it was a 30 fter big one casting date on block sas 11 17 74
