OK I have a set of the ARP bolts ARP-140-5401 in my small block. Engine has been machined etc on the caps for the new bolts. They are just the high strenght bolts that are 200k psi tensile and 12 point for 2 bo;lt mains.

I am not using a windage tray since I have a 4" stroker in the 340 and have a custom pan with gates etc.

My issue is only this. I have a Kevco deep sump pan and the pickup tube is extended and has a mount that needs to bolt to the main cap bolt. I do NOT feel good about taking the bolt out and putting the bolt through the bracket on the pickup tune then into the cap and tighten.

I feel I should have an ARP 200k PSI bolt that is like the windage tray type bolts so that I can torque the main to the same specs as the other bolts and then slip the pickup tube on the stud of the bolt and cap screw tighten.

Anyone know what the part number of this type of ARP bolt is? I think there is a kit and if I need a full kit no problem But if I can get a single bolt or someone has one for sale. that would be best I think.

thanks!

If you call ARP they should be able to fix you right up and you are right not to put that bracket under the main bolt being that bracket will only be mild steel. No sense in using high grade fasteners and only using a mild steel washer which is basically all that bracket will be if you put it under the bolt.
