For slant 6, small block, big block motor . For a 2 or 4 barrel carb set up??

Sorry, I fixed that! Thinking I could probably use the 727 or 904 linkage, w/some adjustment?
If you’re looking for 4 barrel it’s going to get expensive and I second the use of lokar as well. If it’s 2barrel/904 I have a nice set, just PM me.

all you need is the upper rod and cable bracket from a 4bbl police car 76 though 80 F-body. There are many out there.

I just did what you are doing. Made both pieces. Using two 2bbl brackets and two upper rods. I also still have another one still in shop that was done using 4bbl upper rod and two cable brackets not buy me but it is here for pics if you need some. The lower lever is different on 69 and earlier models . That to may need to be addressed depending on the carb fulcrum. I have tons of rods and brackets if you need some to modify Cheap. Welder and a vice is all yo need.. The cable stuff works but the life is limited and geometry worse. They don't care about the lever length or carb fulcrum one style fits all?? Some never work correctly

Rule of thumb is Eye to eye Carb and trans lever. upper rod should just fit on the carb when at idle and flat out

Lokar best way to go follow instructions and it's no problem.
I do agree lokar is the easy way to go. But there is nothing like steel mechanical parts instead of a chinese cable. What I can say is buy 2 because of what I saw they have a endurance problem.

I never installed them so they may have been installed wrong. But I did remove them for manual valve bodies and for factory linkage install. The cables wear and the cable frays at the carb. On the one car the throttle was sticking. It was the Lokar cable frayed and bound up.

I think there was a reason for the factory linkage having that long slotted upper rod. The carb could return even if the linkage stuck. This is just my opinion.

On the cars that came here I did not see a locking pull lever on the carb that would release if the cable stuck? Maybe the installers didn't use it if it was included in the kit.

Dont forget to get the Lokar throttle cable bracket as well...makes the mounting/install/adjustment of the kickdown a breeze.
This is one of the places I didnt think twice about spending the money.
Mine worked right first time. Cable/braided ss sheath is plenty strong.

Best or most useful application IMO is for non-stock carb/intake combos.

Retrofit one from a late model b van. The brackets bolt right up to your 727, you just have to do some fab work tk modify the throttle body bracket to work with your carb. I believe the aftermarket cable kits are patterned after the factory ones.
