Because there is no legal drag strip,the next best thing for us are the 100 foot drags.We are hoping for a good turnout and some news coverage to highlight the need for a track on Long Island.Here is a link to the 100 ft drags website>>>> http://100footdrags.com/aboutus.aspx

Sounds like a great way to work out the suspension setups.

The 100' drags in CT are at Waterford. Only about 25 minutes from me. They have a cruise/car show during the races too. Pretty cool, but I havent had the chance to go yet. The only issue I have is the straight where they race is not level. Not crazy banked, but at least 3-5° tipped to the infield.

Gotta bud who takes his RT Aspen there,...I haven't been yet either but I checked out his car for tech stuff,...should take the boy there some Wed

Time to take a boat ride across the pond,...see ya there...I go there with F.D. for Pres Day Weekend,...always a good time.
 
such a dissapointment. ill show up there to show support but 100 foot drags are retarted. and long island will never have another dragstrip to many stcuk up rich landowners who dont want to deal with the noise. ill just stick to what i usualy do and street race. boooooooooooooooooooooo
 
Same with ATVs and dirt bikes. Its ok to strip 100 acres of trees for another mall, but ride an ATV and your facing jail time for impacting the wildlife.
 
I hear you guys!!:sad11:I also will support the cause,but with no track prep I doubt the high HP cars will stick:batman:
