I would like to covert the auto shift column in my 67 Barracuda to a manual shift column.
With the column still in the car I disassembled and removed all the pieces exposing the shaft. Then bought the two top pieces or collars(not sure there official name), a new bearing and turn signal switch.
The issue I am having is the collars don’t go down far enough to get the c-clip installed. It seems the housing surrounding the steering shaft is in the way.
Do I need more parts or am I missing something.
