Hi, anybody out there run a floor shifter with a bench seat? Whats good to buy for ease of shifting and not having to lean foward to use? thanks, mark

Unfortunately, mounting a floor shifter with a bench seat isn't easy and not comfortable for the driver. My suggestion would be to find a shifter that looks good in the car and modify the handle. Plating it might get a bit pricey, but the alternative would be to paint it of have it powder coated. Just my .02

Don't laugh but Mr.Gasket still makes this old school shifter. About $125 if I remember. Very budget friendly.
I installed it in 2 different cars.
A A body and a B.Photo is of a A body and yes it works with a bench.
It comes as universal and has a bunch of parts. 80% of them you will not use.
Second photo is of my beater with a TCI shifter using a plate to raise it several inches higher.
Just to show difference.
