auto to 4 speed, what do I need

hey guys I have a 68 dart 440 727 auto. I want to swap to a 4 speed, the car will be street driven, the 440 is semi mild. I need a complete list of parts I will need. and what spine box is needed. Also things to look out for like drive shaft length ( will my current drive shaft work) I want to start lining parts up now and do the swap next summer. thanks guys.

your current drive shaft would work if you ran the B/E extension housing. the A body is shorter and needs a longer drive shaft. problem with the B/E is your shifter will be in the wrong spot. people have moved the shifter with home made adapters though. 23 spline will be the cheapest route. the 18 spline hemi boxes cost more. either will work with the corresponding clutch disc. its not cheap if you don't have any parts to start with. a call to Passon or Brewers will get you all the linkage and bushings you need. just be prepared to open your wallet. the little stuff costs just as much as the big stuff.
