auto trans question

I know this isn't an A-body question, however, perhaps someone can help with a freind of mine's question.


Can anyone tell me if a 3.9v-6 auto trans will mate with a 5.2v-8. I was thinking of putting a 5.2 in my 96 Dakota 4x4 ext cab truck.

Looks like you might be in luck.

They have the same bolt pattern. The 3.9 is just a 5.2 with two holes cut off. The V10 and new Hemis also have the LA bolt pattern.
