Autolite 4100

Hi guys,

Ive made a carb adapter to change the Carter BBD on my 273 whilst it gets rebuilt.

Now what I want to know is would it be possible to use a Autolite 4100 carb on the 4bbl adapter??
Obviously id have to fab up the linkages but other than that can anyone think why it wouldnt work??

First off what the heck is an Autolite 4100 carb??? And second using a 4 barrell adapted on a 2 barrell manifold is futile especially when the inlet of the manifold is the size of 2 quarters and each barrel of the 4 barrel is that size. Kinda like trying to stuff a tennis ball into a garden hose. It may run but it sure ain't going to flow the air it's intended to flow and would be dificult to jet properly.

Well a Carter BBD is VERY hard to get hold of over here in the UK and I need the car running as its my daily driver.
Its a Ford carb btw.
