automatic shifter modification

I have a factory console/shifter that I manually shift at times am some times if I hit it to hard it will go 1-3. Has anyone modified the factory to allow the shifter to lock in a little better.What aftermarket shifters have guy replaced the factory with that keeps it looking stock.

this comes up time to time. there's an outfit makes an adapter plate (gate) for the stock shifters. about as much hate it as "like" it. don't remember who makes it

There are a few threads on here with people showing aftermarket ratchet type shifters installed in the factory console. They look pretty slick.

yep I just found those post they do look good jsut was looking to keep the stock shifter if possible. Thank
