Hello my name is Patrick. This year in april, I went to the Pate automotive swap meet in Dallas. I purchased a 1972 Duster that had a decent 73 block 318. This is the mid-life crisis I was hoping to avoid. I came to these forums to gain some more knowledge about Mopars in general. My question is this; will 1975-76 8.25 rear axles fit into a 1972 8.25 rear end? I am hoping the only dimensional difference is the lug stud centerline and consequently the 10 inch drums.

...............Welcome Patrick..........Its not as simple as that, someone with more knowledge will chime in and get u on the right track...........r u sure ur duster has a 8.25 rear............kim...........

Are you sure the 72 has an 8.25 in it? If it has small bolt pattern wheels (4"X5) on it then it's either a 7.25 or 8.75 rear, there were no small bolt 8.25 axles. All A body 8.25 rears from 73-76 had the same axles.
