B body 8-1/4

What does it take to get a 8-1/4 out of a b body to fit in an a body?

I realize the spring perches will have to be moved but what about the width?

Do I have to cut the axle tubes and shorten the axles or can i compensate with wheel offset?

Forgot to mention I want the wheels and tires to be in and under the wheel wells.

I would imagine a B-body 8 1/4 would be the same length as a b-body 8 3/4, so that being said, I have a B-body 8 3/4 under my 68 barracuda. I moved the spring perches inward 1/2" each side, then I used a 17x8 inch rim with 5.75" of backspace. the wheels seem to be centered to me, it looks good.

I use 245/45/17....24.5 inches tall...
