I've installed the shifter in a 1973 Plymouth Scamp, it has a 440 big block and a 727 trans. The shifter is mounted in the center of the hump. Can anyone recommend a exit spot in the fire wall for the shifter cable(no kinks and the bend must be smooth).

Thanks.....Phil

I ran mine right through the floor in front of the shifter, then looped it under the car. It worked all last year with a Pro Ratchet, I went to a Pro Magnum (had to change to add electric shifter to my 'Glide). It works fine. I also had the same set up in my Duster a few years back, with a front cable exit B&B shifter.
It comes out by the rear of the trans, no problem.

Yea, I never went anywhere near the firewall with shift cables. If I recall, i never cut a hole much more then 6" away from the unit. They will take a pretty decent bend and still work flawlessly....at least in my experience.

i put a hole on the passenger side of the tunnel close to the floor. it loops under the trans by the inspection cover to the bracket that holds it.works well and is away from the headers....

I wasn't sure I'd like the ProStick and in fact bought a used Cheetah from a member here, so I didn't want'a punch more holes. I made a plate to move the BM back on the original console shifter mount, and ran the cable right through the original floor boot.

It runs out to the left over the T bar, loops around and back to the trans.

For this old man, it was a real beaoutch.

Haven't tried the Cheetah yet, but "for the street" that is probably what I'll end up with. (Manual/ reverse body)
