I've decided to keep the B/T driveshaft and the 7.25 rear in the 65 Barracuda. The driveshaft needs a U-Joint, and a B/T boot. So here's the questions:

1) anyone have a good driveshaft that's they'd like to sell for a reasonable price? (ie. good boot, good U-Joint) shipping to NJ.

2) if not, I'll replace the U-Joint and the boot on mine; what is the part number for the replacement boot? You know, the cheaper, stretchier CV joint on, that I can slip over without taking the BT apart.
(I don't want to buy the whole BT kit....)

Thanks!
Mike

Hi Dave, I'll post some picts tonight. I'm at school and just took some of the cowl. We cut patches for both sides, top and bottom and will clean them up, then start fitting them. We also finished all the metalwork on the fenders.

For the driveshaft, I just really need the boot for the BT AND some rollers. A kid dropped the U-joint "ends" and lost ~ 18 rollers! I have a 64 driveshaft, but the rollers are slightly shorter and thicker! so they won't work.

The u-joint I have, the shaft measures ~.658, and the roller pins are .525 long, .07" in diameter and have a rubber retaining seal. The extra rollers I have (from the other driveshaft) are .49 long, and .077" in diameter with a steel retainer.

I guess one is OEM, the other a replacement, but I don't know which is which. Worse case, if I can find rollers, I'll get another U joint.

Got rollers?

Installed a new U-joint. the B/T is fine.

I still need a boot part number that will slide over an intact B/T? anyone???

How about a partnumber of a "zip up" boot? C'mon...don't make me get out the waterboard.....
