ball joint

Im doing a 74 disc swap on a 71 duster. is there a upper ball joint that has the big pin that will still screw into a 71 upper arm? Is the 74 a bigger diameter thread size before I order it?

Sorry, but you are going to need either the '73-'76 stock upper A arms or aftermarket tubular arms. The '73-'76 arms were changed to accomodate the larger ball joint's thread size. The good news is that the stock arms do not have to be off a disc brake car. They just have to be '73-'76.
