So I'm in the process of getting my 340 rebuilt and wanted an estimate on what the collective through the HP is. It's going into my 66 Barracuda.
Here are all of the specs.
1973 340 block bored .040 over
1965 273 forged crank and matching Torque converter/transmission, etc.
KBHypereutectic Pistons
9.28 to 1 static 7.718 to 1 dynamic compression based on calculations.
1980 360 596 casting heads with very minor cleanups.
Comp Cam XE268H cam:
Intake Duration at 050 inch Lift: 224
Exhaust Duration at 050 inch Lift: 230
Duration at 050 inch Lift: 224 int./230 exh.
Advertised Intake Duration: 268
Advertised Exhaust Duration: 280
Advertised Duration: 268 int./280 exh.
Intake Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.477 in.
Exhaust Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.480 in.
Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.477 int./0.480 exh.
Lobe Separation (degrees): 110
LD 340 manifold
Dougs D450 headers
Carter thermoquad that was original to the engine. Carb number 6319S
Mopar Performance Electronic ignition conversion.
So what does the collective thing for HP on this combo?
Thanks,
Mike
