Ballast resistor

What do i need to do to by pass the ballast on a 63 plymouth valiant went from a \6 to v\8 and want the full 12 volts

Jump the wires together or take the resistor part out of the back and solder a wire in for the stock look. Why going petronix?

Either going to use MSD or the HEI not decided yet......
