Battery

Hello
I should have posted here before I bought a Battery old down "kit"
(Fits 74 and other years)
The box came yesterday, I took it out to the car and the bracket fits the width of the
battery, but the hold down rods are maybe 2" short. Also there seems to be
only one hole on the engine side of the battery tray and none on the fender side.
Can someone enlighten me.
The Battery is a group 24.. in fact I tried the hold down rods on 2 batteries and they
were short..
As a side, had anyone used one of the plastic battery boxes or another way to
keep the tray from rusting

I believe the hole for the fender side rod is in the inner fender panel. The 2 rods should be different lengths, a short and a long one.

Without knowing exactly what this hold down kit "is" now way to answer your question.

thanks guys.. Yes I know that sometimes
anwering a question leads to a question.
sabre I'll check that fender area.
How stupid of me, not thinking that the rods
could be different sizes... like we say
