Well that sucks Ken. How is the little beast otherwise? We have to get out for a run sometime.

Certainly does suck.. but better to find out that my cam can't handle it now before the motor is assembled..

It sucks more because Comp Cams said it would work.. My machinist and I were looking over some things when I realized that I was at over 150 pounds pressure , closed, with my installed height of 1.620..

Anyway... dreno... still working hard at my upgrades..Give me a shout !!

Goal is to have it all back up and running by June 30th.. THis year.

Ken have you investigated to see if retainers that give you a taller installed height are available? I did that with mine to gain .100" installed height. You could also have the heads machined to allow the springs to set lower for more installed height. In fact doing it that way you could customize the spring pressure to exactly what the cam calls for. I did that on an engine a few yrs. back and it wasn't very expensive. Don't remember exactly how much but I'm sure it was less than $100
