Guys, are bench seats from a 4 door exactly the same as a 2 door car? Specifically 72-74 A body. It seems like i pulled a 4 door bench from a car 20 years ago and discovered it lacked an adjustment or something? Am i crazy?

The front benches are dimensionally the same but one made for a two door car would have the back divided and hardware for each side to pivot forward to load the back seat. The 4 door benches do not even have a division in the back and is one solid piece with no provisions for pivot hardware.

The back seat has more of a curve on the ends for the 4 door version. This curve would be visible when the back door is open and the curve makes it smoother to slide over when you enter through the back door. The back seat might work in a two door but would certainly not look right.

Thank you for the quick answer. You jogged my memory about the front seat not dividing or pivoting forward.
