I took my girlfriends bench seat out of the 67 Valiant to get reupholstered. Ever since then, the passenger side track hasn't stayed put. I took it out and noticed only the passenger side had one of the big springs and the drivers side didn't. Went down to Ace to get two new springs and installed them. For some reason the passenger side bracket never catches while the driver side works fine. It just slides back and forth whether the cable is pulled or not. It has the small yellow spring in place on the outside of the bracket, so thats at least in working order. I had to install the seat to get her back on the road, so I didn't get a real good look to be able to understand what catches the track and keeps it locked into place. What do you guys think might be wrong? I couldn't do anything to make the track catch and stop sliding around.
