W2's 290 cfm @ 700 lift
13.1 compression
709/687 lift roller
277/288 @ .050
Tunnel ram 2-750 holleys
4500 tcs

Caltracs, bars, monos, shocks
3800 lbs

What et and mph?

Comment bump: My opinion is camshaft performance will be the key to this combo. Some of the dyno results i've seen on these big rotators have the tq. curve nosing over in the 53/5500 rpm range. If it can stay flat upwards of 6k, i think you'll have a winner. I'm also thinking shift points around 6500 and trapping around 6800. I'm also assuming a rr tire diameter at a minimum of 31"s.

I know this is all speculation and i could be way off :D, but thanks for the opportunity to make some guesses. Good luck, can't wait til you get some passes in:thumrigh:.

I think somewhere around 10.70s @ 125. Around 630hp Hard to say without more head info - that cam wont let the heads flow 290 so the important numbers really are .400, .500, and .600... Is there a vacuum pump in the cards?

I built a similar combo a while back. 416, W2s, similar cam, 13 to 1 compression, single Dominator, 904, Cal Tracs, Duster body. 3300lbs. Made 660 hp, 580 ftlbs. Ran 9.72 @135.

No vacuum pump. I forget the 500 lift but remember the 600 lift. 285 cfm @ 600 lift.

I would like to see nothing slower then 10.70's.

She is a little portly...lol. A lot will have to do with how the convertor works too. IMO, 4500 is a little low IMO but this is a double-duty car, right?
I know the pistons are worth something. Are they low tension rings? gapless top? My impression is you'll be on the edge of enough horsepower - which only means the chassis and convertor are more critical. I think you can hit your number - it's just how much faster. Not knowing the details on the camshaft either - I'd like to see another .050-.075 lift and another 4-5° @ .050 to really use the heads.

Low tension rings and gap less top.

I ran 11.54 @ 119 mph with these w2's on my 362". 638 lift roller, 271/281 @ .050, 13.1 compression.

Changed cam and stroke. 3.46" to 4.125".

10.45 @ 125 if it will hook up.Thats alot of weight to get moving .What do we get if we are right ,lol ???

10.95 @ 118.00. Weight is the only downfall but if running 10's is a downfall then you are asking way to much.

Hey Shocker,

Let me think, if you are right with your guess......

I live way up north in a cold cold place called Canada. You live in Texas. The only thing I can think of is a can of Tim Hortons coffee. Lol

Oldmanrick,

My slicks are 28/9/15. I might have to put my 4.30's back in the dana for his stroker motor.

The computer program figures peak rpm at 6900 rpm. I changed the 4.30 in favor of the 4.88's for the 362", 7800 rpm shift points

Post some vids when you get her goin I'd be really interested in seeing her run. I assume its definitely not going to be for a while unless you have some spiked slicks! Ha!

I guess 10.80@124mph with the 4.30,s.I,m with moper,need more convertor.Lower 10,s if the car goes on a diet.:burnout:

car going on a diet won't happen. it's way to nice to cut up. i have thought about a tube chassis car but it's a challenge getting 3800 lbs to run hard with a small block.

my machinest figures around 640 hp and 590 ft lbs torque. at 3800 lbs, i need 633 hp to run 10.70. all depends on convertor.

it will hook, caltracs, monos, shocks. ran 10.76 @ 128 with 50 shot of NOS.

Might go in the 9's if you use the blue bottle and let me drive LOL :burnout:

Might go in the 9's if you use the blue bottle and let me drive LOL :burnout:

it will hit 9's bottle fed, no dought about that!

you need a licence to run 9's..................oh crap so do i!!!!!!!!!!!:violent1:
