I'm just starting out here--my first Mopar. A 1974 Duster with 225. I've been perusing the Google to find a set of shop manuals. I'm old school and want paper copies. Any recommendations for a source? Don't really want the Haynes or like--prefer the actually Chrysler shop manuals.

Buy ONLY reprints or original Chrysler. I just bought a 74 original Dodge manual at the "Car d Lane" this weekend. No, don't want to sell it, and unfortunately, never thought to get the guy's contact info

If you intend to keep this car for awhile, you might try to find BOTH paper AND CD. CD is a lot handier for discussions on here, paper is a lot more fun reading while in your arm chair.

I'm a fan of "Motor's" as opposed to Chiltons or Haynes, but agree the FSM is, well, factory.

I've noticed these things are getting pricey.

My 67 FSM was $6 in 1990, now they're more like $65.

Chilton's/Haynes suck like Chevy. Reprints on CD are nice, no fingerprinting up a spendy factory book. Just print what you need and get greasy.

The caveat? The factory books can be difficult to understand, as they'll reference multiple car lines and may not be concise as to what you're working on.

Thank you all. Good points to consider. I know I need the manual because I can't identify all the parts under the hood!
