This has consumed me since my 6 month old Haier TV died on Saturday..so Im going to keep it short for now. Right now Im warning about The Brick....similar to Future Shop but with furniture. Bought the extended warranty thru The Brick, $160 and the Warranty Company is Transglobal Warranty, or Transglobal Services. Here are some links. Thats all of the story for now...as I said, this has consumed so much energy and time the past couple days that Im done with it for now. I wont even get into the phone conversation psychosis just yet. Here are some links, oh look for the name Vi Conkle....

F*&K me I just read some of the reviews again....jesus lord why me?? :banghead:

WELL you just bumb me out Steve,we just bought a stove from the BRICK,we also bought there 5 year extended deal.Idid not read your links too afraid too.

I know folks don't care for Best Buy but they have followed through on their extended warranty plans for me.
I bought the Black Tie 4 year plan for my Dennon 5.1 Surround System. Not that it was high end or anything but $450 is $450.
Well in the last year of the plan, just last month, the Dennon HDMI pass through fails and I have no video out. Best Buy says bring it in. They send it to their service and a week later says it can't be repaired for cost of new. I was issued $450 credit in the form of a gift card to use as I choose. No rudeness or runarounds. Went with a Marantz (Dennon), and yes, I bought the Black Tie warranty for it.
Through BB warranties daughter has replaced headsets 3 times and her Sony laptop HD once. Son has replaced an HP laptop and Xbox unit.

A couple years ago had a similar warranty experience handled "online only" for my Samsung "All in one" color laser printer through Square Trade. Everything went smoothly. They replaced the unit and left me to do whatever with the failed one. I've heard of some horror stories of them since though.

The one thing I didn't buy a warranty on stuck me. It's a HAIER portable air conditioner. I bought it from Target when our central air died mid summer a few years ago. Used it only 3-4 weeks. Turned in on the next year to sell in a garage sale and the fan wouldn't turn. A dollar fifty sealed (roller skate) bearing was the problem that took out the thermalfuse also. What a pain it was to open that thing up and replace that bearing.

Don chk your extended warranty receipt, if it says Transglobal Warranty/Service, be prepared and practice your accent to speak to them useless F**KS.
LOL, when I was reading the reviews/links I just had to laugh its unfrickinbelievable...64 reviews!! ALL SHITTY!

CEO of The Brick, is also VP of Transglobal warranty...WTF?? LOL could kill 2 birds with one stone!

What triggered this psychosis...follow along with me(if you dare). Some may not be NSFW btw.
Saturday TV quits working...dammit!
Phone The Brick 800 # ( girl with heavy accent named Charmony answered), she pulled up the file. Yep still under MFG warranty. You have to deal with the MFG(Haier). She gave me their number. Thru our talk, she tells me they are "overseas". I said oh thats nice, sleep with any goats lately??
Ok no sweat, call the number for Haier. A girl Spencer answered. Gave her make model s/n etc etc. She says great here is a w/o number. You can call Transglobal Warranty give them this w/o and they will fix the TV.
Ok, well not really....Im getting a "little" twitch developing over all these f'n phone calls. I call the 800 # that Spencer from Haier gave me. Guess who answers the phone?? Now remember it is Transglobal who I am talking to for the 1st time. Remember I warned you about this psychosis. Anyway, the person on the other end of Transglobal phone is a girl by the name of CHARMONY, thick accent and sleeps with goats. I start questioning her and she starts tapdancing thru all the goatshit she has spewed out. Same damned girl that was wearing "The Brick" hat 15 minutes earlier.
I cant remember what the last part of our discussion was, but I came very close to kung fu'ing that frickin TV.
I called the Brick Store direct line here in Sarnia, I mention the BS and runaround. I mentioned Transglobal and the guy says oh yeah we share warehouse space with them at our London store(1 hr from here)...Huh?
Now the googling begins...and the downward spiral does as well, see above links it sums up what Im dealing with.
There is more to this, but I now have Lori involved :finga: and it looks like a full refund is coming from The Brick. But like I told Lori, I will believe it when I see it. And it better be soon!

So I brought out the TV from bedroom...well I tried. Frickin thing was stuck to the top of the dresser, so I had to drag my dresser out into the living room to be able to watch TV...
I quit smoking over 2 months ago and not sure if the rage is from the Champix or the above useless F**KS

Thanks for listening:violent1:

Im all for the extended warranties, for the price its worth it IF you get the service.
Glad it worked for you Dave with BB, I may look at them as we have them up here in Canuckistan as well.

Many extended warranties are a scam.... You don't want me to get into the extended warranty problems that I had on my first CD player.....

I would also record all phone calls between you and the warranty company. I like to throw the "this phone conversation is being recorded for quality and training purposes..." on them like companies do to you.... Then if you mention that it's being recorded, it's admissible evidence in court if it goes that far...

Now I can tell you how I abuse the extended warranties in another post later....

X2 I've used Best Buy for all my electronics needs. Their black tie warranty handles issues in house and usually credits me back so I can buy a new product on the spot. Screw the global Insurance warranty companies. All they do is dick you around and end up sending the product to China for repair. The global Insurance warranty companies are to cheap to swap it for a new item. You are also limited to the number of repairs they will make under the warranty as well......
Best Buy is Better at least where I'm at.

I know all too well about those methods as well to get things taken care of, lol!

WILL check today Steve.Wish me luck the guy who sold us the stove said if you get 5 years out of it you did good my God I thought .I read the reviews.:wack:I guess we should start :wack:complaning now lol.

I had to buy a new chain saw last year when a tree fell in my back yard and just missed my 68 Barracuda.

Then another HUGE tree fell on my garage two months later.

And I also had to get a lumber jack in here to cut down 7 other dead trees in my yard.

The chain saw went out, it was only a few months old. I'm bad at keeping receipts, so I bought another one, the same model and added the extended warranty. Then I took the broken one (same model) and exchanged it for another new one.

Now I have two chain saws and a two year warranty that I can use with either one. I ended up going through 3 chain saws this summer by the time I got all of the trees cut up.

The one that seems to last, goes through chain oil like Kotex on a heavy flow day.... However, it is lasting the longest. I keep breaking the plastic sprockets for the dhain gears. The ones that keep breaking are the ones that don't use the insane amount of oil. (Maybe they are not getting enough oil). I'm waiting to see how long it lasts by using that much oil.... But I have two more years to figure it out....

To bad about the Haier a/c unit. I bought a window unit from them, 5000 BTU one. Small unit. Unfortunately I dropped it from my window by accident......damn. Well, I picked it up, put it back in the window, repaired the step that it broke on impact, let it sit for 24 hours before turning it on. I must of gotten lucky cause it worked just as well. Unbelievable! That was two years ago, worked just fine last year. This year? That's a crap shoot coming up. And no I didn't buy the extended warranty, rarely do on anything under $200. I look at that as throw away item. Sad to say that, cause $200 is a lot of cash to some. I had a problem with Dell years ago on a PC I bought.........:banghead: sums it up exactly. Hope all of you get relief.
