Looking for good condition of big block k-member for my 68 barracuda that I'm building it into NHRA legal 383 stocker. Please email me if you got one for sale

all that’s needed is a late model spool mount V8 k member with a bit of welding they can be converted to accept a big block. jim lusk
has the measurements to relocate the mounts on the K.
 
You will not like the spool mounts k frame I had them and took them out and sold them.
 
I have a original K frame with the original 383. If interested

My friend has a Direct Connection big block member. I think he also has the matching engine mounts and brackets also. Im not sure how much is different between an original A body K and DC K member.

I'll ask and see if he wants to sell it.
 
Because your intending to go stock class racing in the NHRA, what does rule book say. Are you allowed to fab up a later spool mount "K" or are an original and DC "K's" the only allowable choices due to rule book?

I doubt that ANY tech person could tell the difference between a Direct Connection k-member or one that was home built. For that matter I know what the differences are. I just never thought that the added material that they used was necessary. It would be easy enough to add them...
 
Asking out of curiosity regarding what do the tech people know and check. After so many years easy to think more variations/alterations would be allowed.
 
Yes I do have one. I will need to get a picture. Not sure on the shape
