Adapters are a cheap fix on the rear but I've heard some recommend against them. I've gone 1500 miles on mine without any troubles in the rear so far. It's a fix if you're on a limited budget, I plan on canning mine for an 8.75 rear end in the near future anyways.
There are different ways with different options. Get into search and find out, because there is more to it than you think. You need to know what you have, and plan it out to meet your goal.
I went with the adapters for now. It gives me a larger selection of wheels and tires in the new and used market. Then you still can go the more money options at a later time and still have lbp wheels
