Where did you get that number from Jim? I have 69 parts book and it doesnt break down the rear cap. I got rear cap(#5) #3004639

It is shown on Illustration Page 9-2 and is part # 86. Looks like Dorman 555-008 is the right one. Dorman HD Solutions - 555-008

Glad to help. Weird how its shown in "external engine" lol. I knew there was a Dorman # somewhere

Yes, that is the one that is driven down to a specified depth

Mine is down 1.6". Looks like there is a step in the hole which the plug seats against.
