I picked up a very low mileage 1994 318-magnum that is going in my '66 Canadian Valiant(U.S.- Dart) post car to be a street/strip machine. I'm going buy an Air Gap intake for it this week. I've got a Ford 9 inch with several pinions( high 3's to low 4's), I'm buying a TCI 904 and the converter will come after the cam is decided. I'm running a 235/60/15 Drag radial. The car has been lightned a bit.
my question is...what cam to use. I'm not worried about around town driveability(I have a Charger to do that with), I want it to run decent at the strip.
I like aggressive cams and can go high on the stall if need be.
Please I value your opinions so -give me some!

I did not even know they made an air gap manifold for that motor. I do know the head intake bolts are at a diffent angle but I head you can drill a old manifold new bolt holes to fit. You are going to run a carb right, if not your cam choices are going to be limted. Does that motor still have a dist. ? If so you should be fine.

It sounds like it might work good. Thats a roller camshaft in there, I would first look at Crane and Comp, and see whats avaible for it. Not sure but I do know soild cams act like they are 10 dergess smaller at low speeds and still act bigger on the high rpm's, for some reason I think rollers might be the same way. If so I would get a min. of 224 degress @ .050. but you need to find out what you can get or maybe they can custom make one for your motor. Let us know how it works out.
