Bracket race 68 Barracuda ragtop

Thinking about letting my daughter(16), race the ragtop. It is a 318 auto. Any suggestions for intake, and for the open rearend? I will probably stay with the stock exhaust system for the time being. I don't want it to be too quick to start out with. She is currently driving a 98 Dodge Neon R/T. She is pretty good with the 5 spd. I have a 1992 360 with 2,500 miles on it, that I may swap out later. PJ

That is the perfect state-of-tune to begin with. I wouldn't change a thing. For now....

As long as you keep it slower that 13.49 then you won't have to put in a roll bar.

I would like to put in a posi. Does anyone make one for the stock rear?

Thank you for the heads up. Right now it is the original 318, 2 bbl, auto, and stock open rear end. What rear should it have? 8.25, 7.25 ??? PJ

Personally, I see no need in going to the posi, if no changes are made. Just have fun the way it is.................
Changes can be made down the road, if you decide to upgrade. Maybe when the part presents itself at a "gotta go for this" prices.
