I have a 1966 A100 with manual brakes. wondering if I can just add a power brake booster to it so I can get better braking? The master cylinder is under the floor and not much room for a big one, thinking maybe a 7" one might fit in there. I see they sell single and double diaphragm. Which would work better for my app? Thanks for any info.

Others will need to help you with your specific application, but usually there is a difference in the M/C rod. Manual brakes have a rod where-as power brakes have no rod. Usually you need to modify your old M/C if you have the parts or buy another M/C for power brakes that have no rod. Some boosters need linkage to attach to pedal.

In my experience
If you get a complete system of booster/M/C/ and pedal, the swap is relatively painless.
Also the dual diaphragm I had (just one) worked perfect on the factory 340car it came from, but it didn't work well on my big-cam combo. I can't paint them all with the same brush, but I took it apart to see if something was internally wrong...... and found it perfect inside. So it seemed to me that it just required more vacuum than my cam was making.
