I will be doing a full brake upgrade soon on my Dart. Jeep 11" discs on the rear and 11.75" rotors on the front. I have my own powder coating system and decided I will coat the calipers and brackets before installation. To do this I need to remove the pistons and all the rubber parts from the calipers.

Is there anything special I need to know before taking my NEW calipers apart? All the calipers are new/reman from parts store and I don't want to screw them up.

Use compressed air to pop out the pistons, but catch them in rags....then use a bluntish, plastic pick to get the seals out without damaging them.
You will need brake-cleaner to get the assembly lube off....and you will need assembly caliper lube to put them back together.
I use silicone grease ( SuperLube ) on the caliper slides.
Make sure mating faces for mounting are not covered in paint/plastic-coating.....they will come loose otherwise.
