Depends. Flat tappet cam or roller cam? I don't believe a roller cam needs any break in time. Someone correct me if I'm incorrect on this.
I talked with tti last week and was told that prolonged exposure to 1300-degrees (lean run condition) will dull their polished ceramic headers permanently.

The ceramic header and manifold coatings I'm doing here now have a three-year warranty that's voided only by running your motor on a dyno. Though I'm not sure what company coated yours, it's probably similar "fine print."
