Bucket Seat compatibility

Hi, I have a 1970 Dart and I am thinking of buying a pair of buckets from a 1975 Dart. Are the frames the same? I would like to reapulster them with 70 seat foam and 70 covering. Will the seat backs screw things up? Thanks.

The shape of the buckets WILL be different, the 75 will have high backs. The mountings (floor brackets) should be fairly similar. You might see some difference on the passenger side on the 75 due to the catalytic converter being under that immediate area under the floor. The floor may be bumped up a little higher to fit the cat underneath, and the brackets a little shorter - maybe. Check it out and make a determination. I would say you can make it work in all likely hood.

As stated before, there will be some differences. But you might be able to change the runners on the seats. That way you should have the same set up that you would need to makeit work. I put a set out of a 75 into my 66 Dart by doing the same thing. Good luck
