This are in a Duster I bought years ago. Are these even Mopar seats? Not digging the carpet backing! Ugh. Sorry I didn’t have the energy to remove the covers. Thanks guys.

Note the rectangle button on the side for seat forward. Slider control on the bottom if you look close.

They show up now.

The carpet added to the backs is not OE, but based on the button type & back style these are mid 1971 model year or newer.

Yes, they are Mopar seats.

If you remove the backs, take another photo for a better date determination.

I will take the covers off and grab another. Yeah no kidding on the carpet from the outdoor department at Lowe’s. I hate that they possible killed a nice set of seat backs.

Depending on the year, you may even find a broadcast sheet or two.

Also look for metal & / or cardboard tags. If intact they will have date codes for the sections of the seat frame.

I got a beautiful broadcast sheet from it when I bought it. Was in it he back seat. I’m sure this isn’t a bucket car based on the new holes and 4” bolts sticking out the bottom. Ughhh. People and their engineering.

Sheets can be found in seats from other cars too. ;-)

That’s a fact. My 70’ 340 Swinger had the original over the glove box and the next car in line in the seat springs. It was very strange. I bought it from the original owner so I’m positive it left the factory like that.

The sheets in the seats......

Their job was to get a seat made as the sheet indicated & then sent to the main line for installation in a car.

At that point, if a guy needed a seat for a Swinger in a certain color, he grabbed the closest one..........

Well this is a 73 Blue Sky exterior Bright Blue interior. These brown seats. Man. What an ugly color. I imagine Blue Sky was a fairly rare color. Don’t see many. Thanks guy. Wish I could mount the seats correctly. That’s pretty far down the list though. Thanks guys for the info.

The other broadcast sheet was to a car that isn’t in the registry. I’ve had it in the lock box now for 20+ years. Still have my car, but somebody might have wanted that sheet. It was another 340 car ironically.

The previous owner installed these and made his own concoction of spacers and washers. What do I need to make this mount properly ? I can’t stand the seat lean. Thanks all.
