I removed the bench seat from my 68 Dart and am about to install buckets from a 69 Dart. I see four small dimple marks in the floor of my 68 Dart. I'm assuming it's safe to bet that these are the pre-marked locations for bucket seat mounts. Is this true?

yessir, those are the hole locations but... the inboard 4 holes ( closets to the hump ) get reinforcement plates. They spead the weight over a larger area and prevent the sheet metal floor pan from cracking over time.
There are rubber plugs for the bench seat holes too.

The reinforcing plates can be purchased on Ebay like I did, or you can make them for about 1/3 the cost. Just a small piece 1/8 inch plate with a hole in it that you weld to your floor pan. You can see them here on either side of my shifter.

Thanks guys. I was told, or I read that the reinforcing plates go under the car??? What is correct? Thanks again.

The plates would be about worthless under the car.
Some people think the plate is meant to prevent the seat from pulling through the floor in an accident.
Not so.

That's what I thought. I followed a thread you had with another member debating this point. I could not find it today. Thanks!
